Macroeconomics and active methodologies in higher education: A possible pairing and a possible binomial

چکیده
This article presents an experience of teaching innovation based on the application active methodologies in economics and business education at University Basque Country (UPV/EHU). The proposal builds a competency approach, whose objectives were to verify effectiveness these area order reconnect university with its social environment enhance student-learning values. During 2019–2020 academic year, multidisciplinary process Problem-Based Learning methodology was developed Introduction Economics II: Principles Macroeconomics course. Various techniques applied encourage participation, autonomous student work, group as well elements responsibility values education. results collected quantitatively qualitatively show improvements acquisition knowledge by students greater appropriation levels linked motivation. However, reluctance misgivings about also arose, which would require further work class leading role students. Greater planning, time coordination requirements limiting factors for staff; however, relevance applying sequentially is suggested.
